Thanks for a great weekend. The weather was suberb. The lake was as calm unlike past years. Unfortunately the fishing was a little poor this year, due to the late spring and low water levels.
Now we are preparing for the seasonal opener, saturday May 18th. FYI, we have been scheduling in camp sites and cabins earlier this year. if are considering a family member to stay and visit I suggest to contact Lynn ASAP. Just a thought!!!!!

Hello again. Almost to fishing weekend here at Wellers Bay. Water is slowly..increasing. Today we received WORMS for the opening w/e. They are here and in the fridge. Many people have e mailed asking if we have them again. Our normal supplier has closed down this year but we managed to secure a supplier from Kingston.
Friday morning the docks will be put out ready for friday night. According to the news sounds like we will be very busy this weekend. The weather forcast is still in our favour, please be careful on the drive. See you then…….Lynn and Bob
Thursday april 25 2013. The water system is on and running and the lines have been shocked. Suggest that when we arrive, follow this simple procedure when connecting your water from our system to your trailer.
Connect your hose to the pole system,…. Run the water for just a few seconds to allow the water to pass through your water hose…..Turn off the water then connect the hose to your trailer. This allows the hose to be cleaned before the water is in your trailer……Flush your trailer…..It is good to flush out the hot water heater…… turn on your hot water heater after a flush.( in the heater tank the RV coolant is still in there along with sediments from hard water.)

April 18/2013. We have arrived to start to prepare for the up-coming year. Arriving on sunday afternoon we did a complete walk about. Glad to report we saw no damages. Winter was easy on us this year. Leaves and branches is the focal point this week. The fire is going and most areas have been done. The weather is helping us so far. South winds allowed us to have a burn today.
Early next week, I will be working on the water system. The frost should be all but gone and safe to to start it up. Fishing weekend is near and we hope to have as much up as possible. This saturday, the hydro will be off completely to perform a small up-grade.
The grounds here are extremely wet in many areas this year. No cars are permitted on sites till further notice. If in the event you come for a drive, please leave your cars on the main roads……. Thank you.
Lake condition. Apparently the lake has been rising. At this time, the water is at the lower part of our boat ramp. Good news though, the lakes in the north are high and the trent and rivers are at flood levels. We predict the water will come up.

On thursday, Lynn and I visited the camp. I walked all around and visually saw no damages. However, the lake is extremely low. The local paper suggested it’s the lowest since 1963.

FYI ….Big Al has been in and has completed servicing your trailers for winterizing. One problem that has come up, trailers with dead bolts installed. You must pass on to us a key for the dead bolts on your trailer and confirm that those keys will un-lock the dead bolt. Please keep this in mind for next year . Luckily, we have been able to get into those trailers.
The water is off, all the pipes have been winterized. Sewer tanks have been pumped . Please, if you visit the camp to check on your trailers, Do Not flush any waste into our main systems please. This will cause us problems in the spring.
On that note, thanks for another great year. HOT was the word this year for sure. Snow and cold for the up-coming winter.

Contacted Big AL last week regarding the winterizing of trailers. Big Al as assurred he will again perform this task. Usually, Al comes in on the wed and thurs after the closing monday. Lynn will have the list ready to sign up and Al has the same price as the last few years. If your trailer needs some extra attention such as ice makers ect, please tell Lynn when registering. New trailers may require special keys. These require different master keys for entering. Last year several trailers could not be entered. Keep this in mind please.

Thanks to number 18, Kevin Scott and family, bringing his race car on saturday august 25th. Kevin races his car at the local Brighton speedway on saturday nights. Scott is related to our own “disc jockey” Ron Turk. Ron had asked his couisin to bring it in so that our campers and children have the opportunity see and to try to sit in the car. Thanks Scott.
